We, unaccustomed to courage
exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves its high holy temple
and comes into our sight
to liberate us into life.
Love arrives
and in its train come ecstasies
old memories of pleasure
ancient histories of pain.
Yet if we are bold,
love strikes away the chains of fear
from our souls.
We are weaned from our timidity
In the flush of love’s light
we dare be brave
And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
and will ever be.
Yet it is only love
which sets us free.
Reflection: Basically I think this poem is about Love.

Friday February 5th was when I started my day of being snowed in from the big blizzard that was taking progress. I had a very boring weekend and week off. My weekend and week off was boring because I couldn’t go anywhere because of the snow and all the words were blocked off and my mom didn’t want to drive in the snow. But my days off were fairly fun and okay. The first day of the storm my electric went off for two hours and it was very cold and boring because I didn’t have a phone and I couldn’t text because it went dead.
First I couldn’t play any video games because that’s electric and it wouldn’t work. So all I did during my power out was play UNO with my family because there was nothing in our house that fun that didn’t need electric.
Also, when the snow finally stopped and roads got clear I went over DD house and me and Ricky Cannon stayed at his house from Saturday the 13th until Monday the 15th. But I stayed longer until Tuesday. On our weekend it was fun, we hung out with a few people and we had China Wok fries at least two times a day each day of the weekend.
Last, I slept a whole lot when I was at DD house. We had long nights and short days so we made our days useful by sleeping. The breakfast we cooked was good even though we would wake up around one or two, but we still made the food useful and it was good.
In Conclusion, we loved it because we stayed out all night and slept all day. This was my week off, I hope another snow blizzard doesn’t come any time soon because it is very boring to be in. I prefer no one to be in any type of blizzard.

Kobe Bryant-My Basketball Idol !!
I have a love for basketball. Its a sport I’ve played sice I was 4. When I was one years of age I picked up a basketball and i knew this was going to be my sport. Its just what I love to do and play and I take this sport serious.
Right now I play for Mariner Middle School. I play Shooting Guard and I wear the #20. I play on A travel team called Remix Ballers and I wear #20 on that team too. I idol 1 player in the NBA and thats Kobe Bryant. I love his style of game its just the best and he’s a MVP player. My favorite basketball team is the Lakers and Kobe’s played for them for most of his years in the NBA. My dad was a starter all state and he played in college and played for Indian River and graduated from there. Hopefully I will graduate from Cape and go all state and can hopefully get a scholarship like my dad did. My dad influences me to play this sport and leeps my head held high on the court whenever he’s my coach or when he’s in the stands. Thanx Dad. I love the sport basketball and I plan on playing until my knees drop and I cant play anymore.
